Karasuno, like most Japanese colleges, has a uniform and gown code. The male uniform consists of the basic black gakuran, white collared shirt, cream sweater and black pants. The ladies have a distinct uniform, which consists of a white shirt, purple ribbon, cream sweater, black blazer, and a gray skirt. Nevertheless, since many college students are sometimes seen with out the cream sweater and sporting t-shirts as an alternative of the collared shirt, it's assumed that the gown code is not strictly enforced.
